Field evaluation can take place at your facility or at ours in Montreal. When electrical modifications are needed to meet Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) requirements, hosting the evaluation at Link Pack’s facility is faster: our technicians make the modifications on-site, and you take delivery of a machine that’s ready to run.

How many drums per hour can an automatic drum filling machine produce?

A single-station automatic drum filler produces 60 to 165 containers per hour depending on container size and product viscosity. AiCROV’s modular platform scales through additional filling stations: up to 400 drums per hour with 4 stations, and up to 1,000 containers per hour on multi-station configurations. Above 4 stations, throughput is limited by available floor space, not by the equipment.

How accurate is net weight filling on AiCROV systems?

AiCROV’s AicrovFill® net weight filling algorithm achieves precision up to 5 grams — the industry-leading spec for large-format containers.

It is measured at the container level, independent of container size. For a 200-liter drum, that translates to ±0.0025% accuracy. AiCROV’s PID control saves approximately 15% filling time compared to conventional gross-fill/fine-fill systems while holding the same precision.

Can the same machine fill drums, IBCs and FIBCs?

Yes, on the Plug & Fill and Compact series. The SP1, SP2 and SP25 systems are specifically designed to fill containers from 20L drums up to 1500L rigid IBCs and flexible FIBC bags, directly on pallet.

Advanced series machines can also be configured for multi-container compatibility, though dedicated lines are recommended above 200 containers per hour. Canister filling (2 to 20 L) is handled by the EL1-E and LSG models.

What is ATEX certification and when is it required?

What’s the typical lead time on an AiCROV filling system?

Standard lead time is 4 to 6 months from purchase order to commissioning. This includes manufacturing in Tarragona, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) at AiCROV, shipping to Canada, CSA field evaluation coordinated by Link Pack, on-site installation, and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) at your plant.

Custom configurations, complex multi-station Advanced builds, or full turnkey lines may extend lead time.

Can AiCROV systems handle viscous products like honey, glucose, paints or heavy lubricants?

Yes. AiCROV configures specialized dosing lances for viscous and semi-viscous products including honey, glucose syrups, greases, gear oils, paints, adhesives and heavy lubricants. Over-bunghole filling mode is available for extremely viscous products that don’t require insertion.

Proportional fine filling adjusts flow characteristics from the control panel, allowing the same system to handle products with varying viscosities without mechanical reconfiguration.

What are dive nozzles and when are they used?

Dive nozzles are filling lances designed to descend below the liquid surface during filling. They are used for foaming, flammable or evaporative products where surface-level filling would create foam, product loss or explosion risk.

What PLC does AiCROV use?

AiCROV supports both Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLC standards — buyer’s choice. Siemens is standard in most European installations; Allen-Bradley (Rockwell) is standard in most North American installations.

Specifying the PLC that matches your existing plant infrastructure means your maintenance team, spare parts inventory and SCADA integration all remain unchanged. Load cells are Laumas across the range.

What’s included in a turnkey filling line from Link Pack?

A turnkey filling line integrates the AiCROV filling machine with all upstream and downstream equipment: container de-palletizing, filling, capping/sealing, labelling, palletising, and stretch wrapping.
