The Herma 040MS – Wrap-Around + Secure Seal Labeler is a high-precision labeling system designed specifically for manufacturers transitioning to tamper-evident packaging. Ideal for cylindrical containers, it efficiently applies both wrap-around and tamper-proof top labels in a single pass, maximizing speed, accuracy, and compliance. At the infeed, the HERMA 500 top applicator works alongside side belts to align the containers, while a spring-loaded roller ensures the perfect application of the sealing flaps in real time.

For the wrap-around label, a servo-driven starwheel rotates each container as a contrast sensor triggers precise label placement within a tolerance of ±1 mm. An integrated hot-foil printer allows for printing lot or expiry codes, and built-in sensors inspect each label for its position, presence, and angle. If a fault is detected, the system halts and alerts the operator to prevent downstream issues. Capable of labeling up to 80 containers per minute, the HERMA 040M S presents an efficient upgrade option for manufacturers encountering limitations with equipment for new secure-seal label formats. With minimal changeover time and robust inline quality control, it ensures consistency, compliance, and peace of mind without slowing down your production line.
